The new malware is called PowerOffHijack and it can take control over your Android phone. When you turn off your phone this malware creates a fake menu and the phone will be in a stand-by mode that will gain access to SMS, phone calls or camera to the malware.

AVG have been tracked the malware on over 10 000 devices in China, but the good news is that you can't get PowerOffHijack from Google PlayStore. This malware enters in your device over the unsecure installations outside Google PlayStore. If you have a phone that runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and it's rooted you should be careful and try to remain unaffected. AVG says that their app will find the threat and eliminate it without any problems.

You can download AVG from here.
